The Streisand tribute started with Queen Latifah sharing her thoughts about Ms. Streisand, a video about the contribution of Ms. Streisand to the arts, Miss Glen Close speaking about Streisand, tributes of song by Ms. Idina Menzel (Don't Rain on My Parade), Beyonce (The Way We Were), Ne-Yo (Lover Come Back to Me), and then Caroline Kennedy introducing Kelly O'Hara and Nathan Gunn with a Choir to sing the final song of Somewhere.

Can't wait to watch it on Dec. 30!

I can't wait for tomorrow! Barbra's finally getting her Kennedy Center Honors! Though she says she wish she got it during President Clinton's time, she says she will take the high road like President Obama during his election campaign and will be graceful in front of President Bush.

I've always loved the melody of this song but I have just listened carefully and felt its lyrics earlier. Barbra sung this song as the finale of the movie A Star Is Born where her husband Kris Kristofferson died. You can just feel the emotion in this song, as you have personally lost someone. She recorded this (as well as other songs in the movie soundtrack live).
